Leaving Koh Samet catches people out more often than arriving does, because now there is a deadline at the other end. The crossing is short but not precisely punctual, the songthaew to Na Dan pier takes longer than you remember, and the road back to Bangkok is three hours on a good day. Almost every missed flight on this route comes from budgeting for the drive and forgetting the island.

Songthaews run from every beach to Na Dan pier for ฿20–100. Leave your hotel earlier than feels necessary; they fill up and stop along the way.
The scheduled ferry takes about 40 minutes and costs roughly ฿70. Speedboats do it in 15–20 minutes for considerably more. Crossings are frequent during the day and thin out in the evening.
Your driver meets you at Ban Phe pier and takes you to any Bangkok address, tolls included. Give us your intended ferry and we will set the pickup with a sensible buffer at no extra cost.
Allow around four and a half hours from your Koh Samet hotel to a Bangkok address: the songthaew and ferry take roughly an hour and a quarter together, and the road journey from Ban Phe pier is three to three and a half hours.
At Ban Phe pier on the mainland, where the ferry from Koh Samet lands. Your driver will be in contact and can wait if the crossing runs late. This is why the booking shows "BanPhe Pier" as the pickup point.
Six hours before departure is a realistic target for an international flight from Suvarnabhumi. That covers the songthaew, an unhurried ferry, three hours on the road with traffic, and normal check-in.
Yes. Give us your planned crossing when you book and the driver will build in a buffer. Ferry delays are normal on this route and we do not charge extra for a reasonable wait.
Fixed fare from ฿2,000 per vehicle. See the full fare card on the Ban Phe Pier to Bangkok route page, or book directly below. Most bookings on this route are made the day before travel.
